About Debbie’s Bakehut

Debbie's Bakehut is a home-based cake business in Shirley, Croydon, making bespoke wedding cakes, celebration cakes, cupcake bouquets and handcrafted sugar flowers. Wedding designs are finished in smooth ganache and range from classic to contemporary, with flavours including vanilla bean, lemon, salted caramel, Belgian chocolate or chocolate fudge, red velvet and chocolate orange. The baker has trained in advanced cake decorating and sugar flower work, is allergy-awareness trained and holds a five-star food hygiene rating from Croydon Council; all cakes contain gluten, dairy and eggs and may contain nut traces, so they are not suitable for people with allergies. Wedding cakes are delivered and set up at the venue on the morning of the wedding across Croydon, Surrey and surrounding areas, with local delivery charges. Wedding cakes start from £650 and should be booked three to six months ahead; celebration cakes need two to four weeks' notice.

Frequently Asked Questions

Use the "Request Pricing & Availability" button on this page. Add your name and email address, plus your event month and approximate guest numbers if you know them (a phone number is optional). Sending an enquiry costs nothing, you don't need an account, and it doesn't commit you to booking. We don't hold live availability or confirmed prices, so only the supplier can confirm whether your date is free and what it will cost. Ask for both in writing.

Ask for a written quote for your date that lists everything included and any charges for travel, overtime or extras.

Ask for real examples of their work at similar weddings and whether you can speak to couples they have worked with.

Get a written contract, ask about insurance and what happens if something goes wrong, and agree a named contact for the day.

It varies by supplier. Get the amount, what it covers and the cancellation terms in writing before you pay. Under the Consumer Rights Act 2015, contract terms, including what happens to a deposit, must be fair.

This listing gives their location as London. Ask whether they cover your venue's area and whether they charge for travel.

We save your enquiry and email it to the contact address on this listing, which for some listings is our own team's inbox, and to the team behind Asian Wedding Halls. We can't promise when or whether the supplier will reply. Some listings are not yet managed by the business itself, so if you don't hear back, look the business up independently and contact it directly.

No. You can't book or pay on this page. Bookings, contracts, deposits and payments are agreed directly between you and the supplier, and Asian Wedding Halls is not a party to that contract. Before paying anything, get a written contract showing the total price, the deposit, what is included, and the cancellation and refund terms. Paying by credit card may give you extra protection under Section 75 of the Consumer Credit Act 1974.
